Cold Steel Hold Out Series Folding Knives

I can't decide if my favorite part of this video is where the tip of the abused knife appears to shatter...or if my favorite part is a company focusing their intention on including a skinhead wearing a brown shirt with a red/black logo prominently displayed. Maybe because CA knife laws are maybe the only sane CA laws, I can't help but be attracted to these giant folders. If I was going to add something like this, I'd have to go with the AUS8A because the price has dropped, discontinued, and a giant folder is unlikely to see much use from me. Fairly certain the ones I have now are new in box. Oh, and green is a nice option to offer, but should never be the only option. Serrated only for the large(4") model, looks like Massdrop is just helping somebody getting rid of discontinued stocks. At least the price is decent, if you are into fully serrated blade or massive XL blade

I have AUS8 versions of this knife. The 6" blade version id quite threatening when open and the handle is a legit two handed grip . The texture on the handle gives you a very secure grip. The lock-up is solid. After opening and closing a thousand-plus times, the blade flips out very smoothly. Quite difficult to close one handed, but it can be done. Not very practical for EDC, but I really like it. I also have the 3" blade version, which was a nice EDC, until I moved onto some other knives. These new models with CTS-XHP steel are very tempting.
