I've had mine for years and enjoy them. I just want to add that they come with a removable cloth grill which isn't mentioned. It'll tone down the yellow if that's not your thing.
Got these bad boys at my desk. Surprisingly good sounding speakers, kill anything in the price range, even higher. Great for all kinds of music. They sound precise and got bass for days. Great EQ for small adjustments to taste of the song, but mostly flat is what I like.
Just get them already....
I had this very set of GigaWorks for years and loved every moment of them, great sound and bass for the size. Definite thumbs up! I would still have them if I hadn't upgraded (after much debate) to a set of Klipsch The Sixes (which I hope will serve me for the next decade or so.) Games, movies, tcons (with an additional mic), etc I had no issues at all with these devices. The blue LED can be bright but I just sharpied over it.
I bought these on sale a few years ago and have been very happy with the sound for the price, both in quality and in volume. Personally, I hooked them up to a 5-channel system as my front speakers and have been very happy.
I bought a pair of these for my desk at work awhile back on an Amazon Lightning Deal, and I was really surprised at just how good they sound, esp. at lower volumes. Of course, they can't touch my Klipsch 2.1's for bass or overall volume, but I'm very happy with their sound for music that I listen to at work while at my desk.

It sucks to throw away a good pair of speakers like the Mackies because of a gimmicky L/R switch. I tried to mess around with the circuit board to fix it, but ultimately gave up.
