The CRKT Cimbri takes inspiration from medieval weaponry. Styled like an old battle axe, it’s designed by Elmer Roush, who spent a fair share of time on the battlefield himself. Nowadays his foremost skirmishes are cracking a hammer against hot steel—and his latest creation is up to virtually any task you put before it. Made with a hot-forged 1055 carbon steel blade, the Cimbri is well balanced for extended use in the field. For added corrosion resistance, the blade is covered with black magnesium phosphate coating. It attaches to a nearly 26-inch Tennessee hickory wood handle. Wield it with one or two hands, depending on the task.
