Blade is thick and clumsy. Did not arrive tuned at all. And took considerable effort to hone a fine edge. The handle edges are not smooth to the touch.

It truly is my favorite EDC knife now. It has a hell of lot of workmanship in the design of it. The flip is so easy to deploy and the weight feels just right. The tanto blade is mean looking which like too. I hope you all have another drop for this knife since I want another one maybe two.

Not happy with the QC on this. It looks gorgeous, but it's definitely a show piece, not designed well for EDC use. The bearings on both (I ordered one for me and one as a gift for a friend) are incredibly gummy, and frequently don't deploy the blade out fully even with a strong nudge on the flipper. The one I gave as a gift was sharp enough out of the box, but I before some TLC on the edge of mine I could press it hard against my skin and slice with no part cutting it. In comparison, the Ferrum Forge Gent I purchased as a gift for my father was incredibly smooth and sharp enough that it shaved the tip of my finger off by accident when I was playing with it, so I guess it's true - you get what you pay for.

I like it. It is exactly what I thought it would be. I wanted something a little heavy with a unique style, and that's what this piece is. I ordered the bronze finish, which is also done well. The flipper works spectacularly, btw.

Cool to look at not real easy to carry or use. Definitely will be a safe queen not an edc. Looks like it was built more for looks than functionality. I guess at this price point you can’t complain too much which is why I gave it 3 stars. The knife I received also wasn’t very well sharpened.

A lot of people had sharpness issues with theirs, mine was wicked sharp out of the box. Blade IS very thick though, so not great for delicate stuff. I use it for utility stuff in my restaurant so it's not so much an issue for me. Mechanism is smooth as ever to open and close. I love how heavy it is. but I don't do well with light delicate things. CONS: the edges of the metal were needlessly sharp out of the box. just needed like 5 seconds of sandpaper to take it down a notch. the clip kept catching on stuff and I eventually just took it off. it shipped way later than it was supposed to, but customer service was super direct and informative once I contacted them.

As an industrial designer, I can appreciate the unique design of this piece. It is well built, stunning to look at, and I love the pivot. But, it has some real flaws if its intended use is EDC. Obviously, this is subjective, not everyone will have an issue with some of these items.
  1. The weight - this thing is substantial, which is cool, but not in my pocket.
  2. The shape - interesting, but not sleek. Getting it in and out of your pocket can be a chore.
  3. The clip - mine bowed pretty quickly, now there is a small gap between the end of the clip and the case. Resulting in occasional rattle when it gets tapped.
  4. Biggest issue for me is the blade. I like the shape, but it's just too thick. Not to mention, it needed some real sharpening right out of the box.
I do like the knife overall, but I won't be carrying it around. Probably keep it in a case in my tool box.

I found the blade a bit too thick for cutting anything substantial, and it was a little less sharp than I would like. The tip of the blade was dull and wasn't really a point at all, which is a shame because the whole design of a tanto blade is to be good at stabbing. The flipper, however worked well for me, as more of the weight of the knife is in the handle rather than the blade. It also is sturdily constructed, and it felt good in my hand. I didn't have any issue with sharp edges on the handle as well. Overall, not a bad knife, but it seems impractical for an EDC. It works, but there are plenty of knives that would work better. A little more style than substance. But if you're okay with a hefty stylish knife, go for it 👍
