Very attractive cable, happy I ordered.
If you are looking for a tight fit in the cable routing channel of a CODE keyboard you want the tech flex - I bought both kinds, found the plain paracord shows brighter colors but the tech flex adds just enough width to be a more secure fit once pushed into the channel.
Can we get an update on how many cables are done, and how many are left? Been over a month since the last comment on this thread and still haven't gotten an update since purchase...
What are the advantages of techflex over simple paracord? I like the stronger colored appearance of the paracord but was wondering if there were any technical advantages.
neverfoxTechflex gives it a tougher outer shell, which should preserver the material for longer than bare paracord. It's also nice for coiled cables as it helps retain the coil tightness for longer. Generally more rigid than bare paracord.
mpmapesSome suggest that cats and dogs seem to find Techflex-wrapped cables are less palatable. No idea how they stack up against Sriracha-impregnated cables.
XorianCould probably find something out there in the audiophile world, as plenty have made those cables custom for connecting portable amps and other gear.
CyphreOh there are definitely other options for getting a nice TRRS cable that will be color coordinated with the keycap set. I'll probably just order from mechcables.com instead, which I've used before.
lol i got so annoyed after not even finishing the first sentence (which proclaims it's 3 goddamned feet) that I didn't even read to the full description. might be time to tighten up this description ;)
efferenceOr, you know, maybe not immediately becoming enraged over something you perceive as not being useful. 3ft might be useful to other people, and maybe they didn't want to throw every option at you in the opening paragraph. But, in the very next box - which is a nice, big, blue box that grabs your attention - they give you the option for 5ft, 7ft, and 9ft.
Might be time for a bit of self-reflection if you immediately fly off to the comments section after reading that it's a size smaller than you'd like. Which, again, was only at the beginning of the description.
