Product Description
A mainstay of the mechanical keyboard scene, Deck Keyboards is well known for their unique legends and innovative take on backlighting. Double shot for extra durability, the keycaps are made of PBT plastic, a material with superior performance that does not normally allow for backlighting Read More
This is the old keyset, I've bought 4 of these (both for myself and loved ones), the newer ones have a more tolerable font, great, rock solid keyboard, but I'd rip the key-caps off given the choice.
They're a dark metallic grey.
I was using a Deck Hassium Pro keyboard at work until a month ago, when someone stole the keyboard from my office (and if I ever find the person who did that...). I am seriously tempted to get another one, especially at this price. I personally don't mind (and actually kind of like) the font. I haven't tried any other mechanical keyboards, so I can't comment on how it compares to them, but it felt great to type on, and I like the fact that it is a full keyboard, which seems to be increasingly rare in this space.
Yeah, I was pretty upset by that. I was on vacation, and closed (but did not lock) my door on the way out. Someone must have seen it through the office window, recognized it for what it was, opened the door, and taken it. They did not take my Logitech MX518 mouse, or anything else from the room.
I love my Deck Francium Pro! The double-shot, PBT, backlit keys put this a step above the Ducky Shine 3 in my opinion.
These keyboards are great for anyone who can tolerate the font.

cherrybrownIf MassDrop seriously wants to market this product they should take pictures of the Deck w/ Vortex backlit keycaps on it to give an idea of what it 'could' look like.
I think you would have found more buyers if you had offered these boards like WASD (barebones) without keycaps, and then in the same drop option offered Vortex Backlit caps.
You ever watch that cooking show "Kitchen Nightmares" with Chef Gordon Ramsay ? Often the restaurant he has to save is run by owners that are in complete denial. This is how I interpret Deck as a consumer: They are in complete and utter denial if they think people love this style of key cap.
edit: Sorry cherrybrown, I didn't mean to reply to you directly - but MD.
Glanced over the board, looks fabulous. Read the comments, bad font? what font? OH THAT FONT....I didn't notice how terrible the font looked until I enlarged the image....
