I just got this and I have to say the ergodox modifiers are not the color I expected - rather than mostly being dark like the normal modifiers, they're the same medium grey as the Alphas.
I'm going to have to find a blank black SA ergo modifiers kit elsewhere to complete them, I guess.
aiwa501Thanks, had to go with DROP since i'm from Canada and don't need the full set and shipping is extra for CAD still ended up $70CAD cheaper going with DROP.
Can someone explain to me what keyboard I can use this with and are my eyes deceiving me or do I really have to buy 3 or 4 different sets of this (alpha and modifiers and alt orange) to cover an entire 88 or 104 key keyboard. There really is not that much info on this site or any other about how these keyboards come together. Thanks
attack.theoRyIbelieve you can use this set with any keyboard that utilizes mx switches, and regarding the different sets, yes you will need to buy several sets to get complete coverage depending on how big your board is. In my case, I have a 60%, so I needed the alphas and the modifier set to get complete coverage. Plus the alt color set for the pop. With a bigger keyboard, you might need the numpad and/or mod plus set as well. Hope this helped.
brangetsbrutalOk thanks for your help, I was able to gleam a little more info from other websites as well. I just thought I had finally found some cheap ($25) customization, only to realize that I do in fact have to pay upwards of $75 to get an orange font.
equaluniqueAnd still no blank Alpha keys / and / or / funny keys for typewriters who don't care about the letters (especially for foreign keyboards (QWERTY does only cover a few % of layouts... they might not know they're not the only ones in the world...)). That's the reason I'm out.
