I just popped my switches out and have the exact same issue on mine... got to love the quality control here... ridiculous.

My friend ordered one right after the drop became available. He got a perfect one.

What do you mean by pits on the surface? Excuse my ignorance :(

I found out what "pits" he is talking about. On the actual PCB there are tiny "holes" in the white plastic-y covering of it (not exactly sure what that is called). I imagine this is bad if there is some sort of spill as the "white plastic" seemingly protects inner wirings/interconnects between the switches on the PCB board. Definitely poor QC. Mine has them too :(

the aluminum surface is covered with pits and speckles, it feels rough. Search “pits” keyword in the comment section you will find more.

Oh you mean the aluminum... holy sh*t, I didn't realize THAT's what you were alluding to. I'd make a ticket and get a new one TBH. Mine is not like that at all..

I'm not disputing that you got pits - however, mine is as smooth as silk. My lighting also works and all my keycaps are the right ones, so I guess I just got lucky. It's a shame there's this much deviation in the manufacturing process :(
