Trust me I did bring it up to them, they refused to honor the sale price on the gent and gave me my money back. My post is meant to be a bit tongue in cheek. I've been using Drop for 5 years and the recent changes to the shipping policies leave a lot to be desired.

My rosewood version came with a greyish blade finish that didn’t quite match the shiny clip and wood scales. Fortunately I had a blue gent with mismatching titanium clip and satin blade. Swapped the scales and now life is good.

We're happy to announce the addition of two new Gent Select variations - now with satin blades! We heard a lot of comments from the community wishing for a Gent Select with a satin blade, and saw some awesome pictures of people who had done a mashup using a Gent and Gent Select. Quantities of this first batch are limited to just 100 units each of carbon fiber and rosewood, we do expect to order more though. Please note that these are shipping from our international warehouse and may take 4-8 weeks to arrive.

After a month, the tracking for PostNL says that it's on transport to the country of destination. I'm happy, sort of. Drop, you say the product is in stock and shipping next day, but my order has literally been shipping for a month. I see a lot of other people as well in these comments that are having issues as well. I would strongly suggest considering the language you have in the product page about how this product ships if your logistics chain takes a month just to get it to be en-route to the destination country.

I know I'm going to be repeating what everyone else here is saying, but I just want to throw my hat in the ring as another datapoint to warn other shoppers that they very likely will never get their products from Drop. It's not just a handful of cases as the Drop folks would like you to believe. I ordered this back in April. On April 21 "The Item is at the shippers warehouse" and on April 24th "The item is pre-advised to PostNL" and I haven't heard anything since. It didn't even make it to In Transit. Finally I reached out to Drop (it took them weeks to get back to my support request too...) and they refunded my order and told me to buy again. Although the Rose Wood option is no longer available. I'm really annoyed at this because I was very excited about getting this knife. I have another knife on order from Drop that at least made it in transit, but has been MIA for a month now after the last shipping update. What a total mess this company is. Buyer beware. By far and away the worst online shopping experience.

No knife, no response, no service. I ordered my Gent on Dec 16, 2019. The expected ship date was March 13, 2020. That came and went. Finally, I after checking the "tracking" info numerous times I saw the info had been updated with "Failed attempt". It further said, "left notice (no authorized recipient available)". I never got a notice, and I'm self-employed and work from home. I've emailed to no avail. Message said it might take 5-7 days to respond. It has been longer. DROP is now 2/3 fails. I won't order again - it's too bad because I like thier website and their offerings. UPDATE June 15, 2020 This knife was being delivered by a carrier through the Netherlands from China apparently. The tracking tool blows. Couldn’t even get it to work until I opened it on my laptop. Thats when I realized it said that delivery was attempted, but no authorized person was available. Wtf? Since when do I need to be home to receive a package? Where was this key info when I purchased? I emailed DROP. The response was that I should go to the usps and try to find the knife. I told them, is that your job? Finally I demanded my money back. Thats 2 out of 3 shitty experiences using DROP. I’m done.
