I've had the Weird Guy pair for several months now. As black denim goes, this pair is better than any Lee's or Levi's I've ever owned.
I can say with reasonable confidence that the KIHONs keep their shape for at least 9 months of regular wear. And mine show no signs that this will change anytime soon.
They are surprisingly colorfast, but then I don't wash my denim often. Especially through the winter months.
I recently washed them and they are starting to show their slubby character.
My only issue with the KIHON Weird Guy is the fit does not live up to its description: regular taper. "Regular" sounds about right, "taper" not so much. They fit mostly like regular straight jeans, especially if you have to cuff them.
That said, at $85, I'd still rate them 5-out-of-5.
I am in for a Super Guy pair this time.
Update:
Just got my Super Guys. Size 32. According to the chart they should have a 33" waist. It's just shy of 32".
If you are getting Super Guys, order one size up, maybe even two sizes, if your usual size is a snug fit.

These reviews seem odd? My fit is exactly what was listed and matches my other pair of N&F. The quality is exactly listed. And I expect these to be added to the rotation.
Please, refer to the listed fit table if you're worried about the dimensions. I have a tennis-player-esque build where I have a lean upper body and thicker thighs and calves so I tend to stay away from Skinny Guy builds and opt for Weird Guy. I highly recommend these for its price and build quality. N&F produce really thoughtful products and drops collabs have done really well in the past. Easy recommend.

PYR0I was actually really hesitant to buy these based on some of the reviews.
Your review was one that caught my attention and helped me pull the trigger.
I am super happy with them so far and just wrote my own review.
I totally agree about the fit being accurate with the size chart.
I can only guess other reviewers did not take proper measurements or assumed they would fit just like other brands that they own without ever looking at the size chart.

great pair of daily beaters
Got these in the Weird Guy in a 30 and I typically wear 31 in Levis, A&G, Rapha. I'm 5'9, 170 lbs, asian, slim body type.
A bit stiff out of the box, but will loosen up for sure. They're a bit tight around my thighs but I have quite athletic thighs compared to the rest of my legs. They definitely don't taper and are more of a slim straight fit, hopefully when I do the first wash in a few months the taper will become a bit more apparent. The stretch makes them much more comfortable right out of the box than my other pair of Naked and Famous Ichiban (which are selvage and breaking in quite lovely) as well as any of my other 3 pairs of selvage denim. They won't have enough stretch to go rock climbing in, but these were made to wear out and about. Great buy, wish it was slightly more tapered especially since I cuff. They're light enough for me in the summer, but that's definitely more personal preference. Will buy again!

Great fit, great jeans!
The fit and quality are perfectly in line with my expectations. My thighs and ass are on the thicker side (leg day, brothers!), so the super guy can be almost overly tight at first, but the elastic fabric on my favorite pair of N+F stretched out nicely over time, and I expect the same with this pair. Looks great! Fits great! Worth it.

What value did Drop deliver on this for Canadians?
So these jeans cost me around $140 CAD delivered after Drop fees + taxes, plus USD exchange, and then I was charged a $10 service fee, and $5+ in taxes on a PRODUCT MADE IN CANADA and it took 3 weeks for delivery.
I could have bought this from a Canadian retailer of Naked and Famous denim products for about the same price with shipping in less than 5 days and a full return policy.
Drop - you guys failed to deliver value on this "deal", I'm not a happy customer. Product is fine, Drop needs to do better for Canadian buyers.

size way off compared to other N&F jeans
The sizing chart is downright wrong. They're way too tight, as most other reviews state. I compared the measurements on the sizing chart to that of other batches of Naked and Famous jeans that I own that fit well and these just don't match.
On another note, Drop should stop using DHL to ship to Canada; customs charges/duties for a pair of jeans is questionable, and DHL's $10 service fee on top of that for brokering is absolutely absurd for an $85 product. This is not a 'deal' or even a decent price at this point - it would be cheaper and easier to go and support my local shop where I would get button fly and selvedge at the same total laid out for the Drop +Naked &Famous
I regret taking the leap, trusting that these would be like my other numerous pairs of Naked & Famous jeans.

I don't think any Canadian would balk at the suggestion Drop drop couriers and use USPS. Service is often better and far cheaper on our end.
All courier companies are despised by Canadians for international shipping due to grossly excessive fees. Anyone can do a brief search and see literally thousands of comments echoing these sentiments and see endless 1 star reviews.
We HATE private couriers.
PLEASE SWITCH TO USPS!

Thigh measurement is off
Ordered sz 32 on weird guy, expecting thigh measurement of 12.5", i measured it myself and it didn't even reach 12". Contacted Drop via "Contact Us" on Monday Apr 27th, 6pm. Waited a whole week and didn't get a response on exchange, return or anything.. now stuck with a pair of jeans that don't fit...
Did I get scammed?
Company must be struggling and holding up returns. BUYERS BEWARE** NO RETURN CONTACT**

" I apologize for the delay in getting a response to you on this. We have recently received an increased volume of support emails and are currently working through a large backlog in order of date received.
I understand you'd like an exchange under the Hassle Free Return policy. Unfortunately it looks like we don't currently have the jeans you've requested an exchange for. I'm sorry for the inconvenience."
Need to lower my expectations, I imagine when they finally receive my return they'll need to quarantine the package so just need to be understanding because... will COVID operations got everyone workin differently, but I know now I didn't get scammed.

Runs tight
Like others have said, this denim runs significantly tight. I first went with the Super Guy and after realizing how tight they were I ordered the Weird Guy and sized up. Material is nice though.
**Warning**
I have emailed multiple times about returning my first pair and have yet to get a response back.
