timothy9xthis is how keycaps come a LOT of the time. I've seen ziploc baggies for keycaps more often than I have boxes/holders. granted that's usually more for budget sets and not expensive ones like this

timothy9xSignature Plastics always ships in bags. The one time Drop coerced them into using fancy boxes, it added 9 months to the ship time. They're a tiny operation mostly concerned with their industrial/cash register caps business, and their production techniques and assembly line haven't changed much in decades. Consumer sales are such a tiny portion of their income, they've never bothered with packaging; they could take or leave the hobbyist business.
timothy9xSP has always done this, for years and years (I know, I ran the first every SA set on Massdrop years ago). They are basically a boutique company, all made in WA state. Their caps are great quality, they just aren't big enough to invest in packaging from what I can tell, group buys seem to be a labor of love for them, their bread and pudding is industrial clients. So their packaging, or lack thereof, is pretty understandable. Fortunately there are lots of good storage options around!
timothy9xI know I'm late, but I fully recommend these JTK Max size trays. I use them for all my MT3 and SA keycap sets, and they're big enough that you rarely need to use more than one (huge sets like SA Carbon, SA Oblivion, and MT3 /dev/tty are the exceptions).
I do not recommend them for cherry caps, though, as they can move around way too easily due to the height of the storage container.
Those trays are currently out of stock on the drop page, but they usually do restocks eventually.
