Drop lord of the rings mt3 dwarvish keycap set review
I know that these are not for everyone but I really like these. I would give them a chance if you think that these keycaps look cool. I really would recommend.
It effortlessly captures the enchanting spirit of Middle-earth, while the MT3 profile delivers a satisfying and comfortable typing experience. For fans of the Lord of the Rings or anyone who appreciates an extraordinary keycap set, this one is not to be missed. The color of this keycap pairs especially well with keyboard cases in black or other darker tones.
The only minor drawback I encountered is the lack of a suitable keycap for those who prefer to place the Control/Ctrl key at the CapsLock location. Personally, I can stand with placing a keycap printed with CapsLock in Dwarvish for the actual Control key. However, it would have been even better if the set included a dedicated alternative for this specific preference.
Since I put these on my Feker IK75, I've been getting a bunch of compliments at work on my keyboard! I'm running a combination of the hardcore base kit, extras, and Durin's Forge. They look absolutely phenomenal, and are a pretty unique set of keycaps. The MT3 profile is pretty nice to type on, and in combo with my PC plate, makes a nice, deep noise.
My only complaint comes from a combo of the profile and the hardcore keycaps. Since it's basically required to touch type with this set, you'd think the F and J keys would get something a little more prominent than a slightly deeper indent on top of the keycap. That would definitely be something that would make touch typing easier, as the way it is currently has me misaligning one of my hands relatively often still. I'm sure l'll get used to it eventually, but it hasn't happened yet. If you're not super confident in your touch typing abilities, you should go with the training set.
Having used the ortho Dwarvish kit for a while, I decided to get the matching numpad kit, and it does not disappoint. Great selection of R0 keys, and despite my ortho kit being "training" and numpad being "hardcore", it still looks fairly cohesive together.
