Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

- Feels premium overall to me.
- Each ear cup swivels very smoothly
- I adjusted the length by pulling on the band right next to the ear cup, making a nice solid "click" for feedback. (Won't know how good it holds up but I'm confident it'll hold up in a workout, will update this in the future)
- The outer smooth part of the ear cup is prone to fingerprints, that is not a problem for me IMO.
- The "+" shaped button has a "silicone" feel
Comfort:- The ear cups are soft and feel plush, the clamping force is not too much at all and is just enough to stay on your head.
- I've been seeing other comments on the top band being uncomfortable and I agree it is uncomfortable. (It was fine at first, but after some time I found myself adjusting it to relieve the pressure off the top of my head)
- I did notice some warmth from wearing them as well but does not bother me at all IMO as I have worked out in my XM3s before np.
Sound:- Again, comparing to the XM3s, Pandas for me hands down.
- Sound isolation was surprisingly good. When I first saw the announcement of the Pandas, was kinda bummed about lack of ANC but for me, Pandas do NOT need ANC and I'm GLAD they're "phase-correct." (not the best example but I have a loud AC running in the background that can be blocked out by the XM3s, the Pandas CAN block the sound just as good (if not better). The real test for me would be to take a flight but not any time soon. Sound seal is impressive overall.
- Combined with my FiiO M11 Pro, I'd say it sounds just as good, probably pretty darn close to my home setup
-- (Home Setup: Drop Airist R-2R DAC & Drop + THX AAA 789 Amp, with Drop Sennheiser HD6xx (from bundle w/XM3s))- Sound separation and sound stage is excellent (as good as open back headphones imo)
These will easily replace my sony's and will most likely be my daily use (when I don't want to use the small form factor of airpods).
