Got my Pandas today yesterday, and unfortunately I've noticed a ton of issues. -Audio significantly cuts out at the beginning of every. Single. Audio source. (A new YouTube video, song, etc.) -Some weird high-frequency noise on deeper voices over bluetooth. (Found this by watching Markiplier to test audio.) -There's a very audible click when the amplifier shuts off to save battery. -Almost unusable on windows. Some mid-low speech frequencies get blown out and the only way to make them sound good is to run them wired through my Focusrite Scarlett Solo, not even through my O2+SDAC Amplifier. -Mine are not warm at all, they have a cooler sound signature than even my DT770 Pros. Are mine defective or are these things that can be fixed with firmware? (Aside from sound signature.) I'm pretty disappointed. Edit: After having them connected for a while longer, most of these issues have stopped but now the "high pitched noise" I mentioned from listening to deep voices turned constant in the left ear. And as I'm typing this, now it's back to normal. This inconsistency is concerning me. Edit 2: The issue changes with every reboot. They've got to be defective. 🙃 Edit 3: After several reboots, they now sound correct but will stop outputting audio at random, requiring a reconnect. Edit 4: well boys, we did it. They're dead. No audio over Bluetooth no matter how many times I re-pair 😎 Edit 5: 9/6 they're currently behaving themselves, no cutouts or electrical noise. I'll test multipoint later. Edit 6: Nope they're still messed up. They'll randomly stop outputting audio now without multipoint on. Also random frequencies will just kinda distort out of recognition. Edit 7: No response from drop as of 9/10

SnadTheEggI would reach out to customer services about that. Seems like you’ve got a defective model.

SnadTheEggYeh I understand being a bit disappointed. I’m a bit disappointed that I’ll likely have to wait until November because I preordered back in July. Damn covid. You’ll get it sorted though.

SnadTheEggYep. I keep hearing everyone say that they sound warm or dark but compared to the HD6XX that's universally agreed to be warm and dark, the Panda's are bright as heck from my experience. I'm not getting many of the other issues other than the audio being cut off in the beginning but I expect that is due to the amp needing to turn on from the sleep mode.

SnadTheEggThey shouldnt realy be that bright though they do have a slight elevation in the highs but that kind of is needed depending on the genre youre listening to. As they have an elevated base aswell drums should be louder then normal so i suspect the 4k peak is to make snaires sound just as loud. Atleast for my taste they should be great for rock music with this tuning.

Jonas_AaronYeah mine have barely any bass compared to even my DT770s. It's there but doesn't have much presence even in hip hop.

SnadTheEggWell looking at the frequency response of the dt770(pro?) they are pretty v shaped with a huge peak of about 8db at 40-50hz. So the "even to" dosent realy make much sence to me. The dt770 are not flat by any means and I dont think you should take them as reference. Even though ofcours this all comes down to preference its not fair to compare a headphone which is trying to stay on the fun side of neutral with one that realy seems to have its frequency response adjusted to (i suppose but ofcours dont know) just make the soundstage sound bigger.

Jonas_AaronYeah I know it is a v-shaped curve but the dt770s are far from basshead headphones. However right now the pandas are behaving themselves and now they don't sound so cold.

SnadTheEggI getting really very concerned by the number of people I have seen getting defective units... something is clearly going wrong here.

TheNerdIt think there are less people than your might think. Way more people are happy with theirs than are upset. Still you're right it's a relatively high failure rate. Support still hasn't responded to me granted it is a holiday weekend.

ryangaston88I wouldnt bet on that cause noone who aint a bit enthusiastic about the product would take the inconvenience of partizipating at a crowdfunding campaign.

ryangaston88This is where I'm at. I've seen plenty posts going both ways - defects and perfect, but people with issues tend to be more vocal, especially on Drop as historically it's been the best way to get customer service to not just ignore you.
