Hey gang! Zambumon here. Welcome to the GMK Nautilus Nightmares drop. If you have any questions, tag me @Zambumon or reply to this comment to make sure I can answer it fast! Q: How are the kits structured for this drop? GMK Nautilus Nightmares' kits have an extra tag that helps to classify each of the kits: 1. Core kit: this is your starting point, and you'll need to get one to cover your board. 2. Layout extension kits: these are add-on kits. They are designed to extend the layout coverage provided by the core. Nautilus Nightmares has 4 extension kits: Forties, Extension, ISO and Space keys (which is also an accent kit). 3. Accent kits: these are cosmetic kits that do not provide any extra layout coverage and include some novelty keycaps to give an extra touch of customization to your board. Nautilus Nightmares has 2 accent kits: Novelties and Space keys. Q: How do I cover my keyboard?
  • Core: 60%, 65%, 75%, TKL, Fullsize: Masterkeys Pro S, Massdrop CTRL, Massdrop ALT, Anne Pro, Tokyo60, M60-A, Nemo, TADA68, Jules, Duck Octagon, E7-V1, Uniqey Q100, FC980M, TX-CP, Duck Lightsaver, Sar.
  • Core + Extension: FC660-like layouts, 60% with arrows, LZ-Ergo, TGR Alice, Lubrigante and other Ergonomic boards. Extra layout coverage for 65%, 75%, and HHKB keyboards.
  • Core + Forties: small form factor keyboards, and ergo keyboards. Planck, Minorca, Sebright, Vortex Core, Percebe.
  • Core + Spacebars: Cherry G80-1800, and Topre keyboards (using the 6.00U center stem spacebars, replacing stock stabs with Novatouch stabs)

Q: Are the keyboards included? A: No, only the keycaps. This drop is just for the GMK Nautilus Nightmares keycap set. Q: Can I modify my order during the drop if I use PayPal? A: It is not recommended to modify your order during the drop if you are using PayPal as your payment option. Instead, cancel your current order and place a new one. Q: What keyboards is [insert image on the overview page?
  • Overview page:
  • Image 01 of 13 - Jules, (65% keyboard)
  • Image 02 of 13 - Ézaro (60% tray mount keyboard)
  • Image 03 of 13 - Jules (65% keyboard)
  • Image 04 of 13 - Verne (detail of the Esc key of this TKL keyboard)
  • Image 06 of 13 - Sar (1800-CP keyboard)
  • Image 07 of 13 - Verne (close shot of one of the novelties on the bottom row of this TKL keyboard)
  • This comment: acrylic Percebe, "cybercebe"

Q: How would this set look like on X layout? Each keyboard has listed its name on the right bottom corner of the image.

Hey everyone, Excited to cap off the year with Nautilus Nightmares from @Zambumon. This pre-order will launch December 5 at 6 a.m. PT. Nautilus was the first GMK set we did with Zambumon - the set contained some of my favorite novelty keycaps. I was happy when he approached me with this green revamp. I always felt there weren't enough green themed keycap sets and Nautilus Nightmares really tie together the theme, the color, and of course the wonderfully designed novelties. I hope everyone enjoys this design as much as I do!

@YanboWu I am curious if the orders from Europe will be shipped direct from Germany or should they arrive first in the USA and then back to Europe?

I just realized I need a 6u spacebar. If anyone ordered the kit and is willing to sell their 6u spacebar or has an extra space kit, let me know.

657 sold? But $135 dollars? Why hasn't it dropped to $120?

Firstly, it's clear that some picked additional kits without a Core kit because the total number of orders is much higher than the number of Core kits ordered. As you point out, more Core kits were sold than others, which means many Core kits must have been sold alone. I suspect it's actually much more than just the 78 kits difference between the sum of the two most popular additional kit options which were sold alone, and that a minority of users purchased multiple additional kits. In the cart system, if, say, you purchase both Novelties and Extension kits, then only one of them can be added on to the order of your Core kit. For the other, you must add a second order, which will have no Core kit, but will have the other additional kit. There is also nothing in the cart system to stop you from ordering all three of Core, Novelties, and Extensions as separate orders within your purchase. Some people may prefer to do so if they want different quantities of each.

I'd say there isn't enough information to generalize what was and wasn't included in most purchases. For example, given there were 659 "sold", 384 Core kit orders, and 489 total child kit orders, here is one way all child kits were purchased with at least one Core kit:
  • A) 214 people purchased 1 Core + 2 different child kits = 428 "sold" (2 each)
  • B) 61 people purchased 2 Core + 1 child kit = 183 "sold" (3 each)
  • C) 48 people purchased Core alone = 48 "sold" (1 each)
