I have been looking for a place to get this any way this could be dropped again I am in love with this keyboard after seeing it just want to get my hands on one am sure it would sell a lot if dropped again
This keyboard is absolutely nice. It's really heavy, and the extra PBT keys look really nice and durable, although the four (top right) shortcut keys are missing from this set and the lock keys do not have any transparent section to see the status light.
I'm mostly using Linux, and I like that the Windows logo is replaced by a duck here; this is more impartial (even though a duck is biologically closer to a penguin than to a window I guess).
I love the way they built the 9008 G2, the metal bar mechanism for long keys being under the surface, which makes it really easy to replace a key (compared to Das Keyboards, for example). The MX blue switches feel as good as with the Das Keyboard, but are not too loud, which is perfect since I'm currently using this at work.
Also, the detachable USB cord is always welcome, with a standard mini-USB connector.
Buy this if you want a durable, quality mechanical keyboard.
MancastleDrop one was done again, though, which resulted in the second giveaway. It would be unfair to the lucky winner of the first giveaway to take that away and give it to someone else. I think Massdrop handled this as well as possible - giving away one more than they planned, which they really did NOT need to do - alternatively, they could have just re-done the first giveaway.
@David So now there are two draws, but the first two people on the drop only were allowed (mathematically) to participate in one of them. As min(sum of three dice) = 3. Clearly #1 and #2 are again disadvantaged
Hey Guys,
Clearly I can’t math. No problem though, Albert, you’ll be receiving your Ducky Shine 3 just the same and we’ve done a proper redraw for another Ducky Shine 3.
This time around, we used a random number generator as suggested….and the winner is…..kelvinpun.skp!
Congratulations to Kelvin and Albert on your new Ducky Shine 3 Keyboards and thanks again to everyone who participated.
Thanks,
-Daniel
