The 60Ghz they speak of sounds like AD wireless so it will not travel through objects. Have a look of YouTube for videos of the signal being blocked by people walking between devices.
MicroFibreManI was thinking the same thing. 60GHz means tons and tons of bandwidth overhead, but the devices need near line of sight. I wouldn't expect this to work through a wall, but if both sender and receiver are in the same room and elevated at least a meter off the floor I believe it should work fine. The tests I saw of the AD wireless was with objects very close to either sender, but with more room in between there should be much less of a problem. I'd say you need at least a meter of free space from either end before any potential obstacle.
MicroFibreManTheir product brief shows the receiver mounted on top of the TV, and I would expect they recommend the sender be placed at a similar height.
KarnatYes. There is a good chance the latency is completely insignificant, but I'd feel a lot more confident in that if they'd share some actual numbers. Saying it's zero when that isn't actually possible just makes me sceptical...
