Got my E-MU Teak this morning. Had to sign for the package but had no idea it was coming. First impression of the headphones is very positive. They look very nice, quality seems top notch at this price. Smooth and rich but slightly recessed midrange, good amount of sub-bass, non fatiguing treble response. I like my Fostex TH-X00 Ebony just a bit better overall but E-MU Teak are keepers.

PHC1..lots of owners would diasagree to your impressions .. at the end its a matter of taste not "best" or "better"

austriandudeI was specifically asked to articulate what "I" like better about the Ebony TH-X00 . My post was for that reason only and I did say for "my taste" in my post. Whether someone agrees or disagrees is irrelevant to me.
