FWIW, I usually get on fairly well with the EN temperature ratings, so ordered the 40° quilt for summer use. I've had to wear clothes to bed a few times, and been too hot occasionally, but usually it works well, and is way more compact than what it effectively replaced (which was often too hot). I'm not convinced yet that the snaps and straps are actually useful, but we'll see over the next couple of months...
Overall I enjoy most of this quilt. I really like the way the elastic straps integrate with the sleeping pad - top notch design. The area I was quite disappointed with was how they packed the down into the baffles. The center three baffles (the ones on top, where you lose your heat) were substantially lighter with down fill than anywhere else on the quilt. You could hold it up to the light and see far fewer feathers, and then when you laid it out, the center baffles were noticeably flat compared to the loft of the other areas - and this was before taking it out for any nights or stuffing it. And I keep it outside of the stuff sack between trips to really take care of the down and not compress it. I upped my purchase for a 10 degree so I would have a bag that took me well into the 20's and stayed warm. We went out for 2 weeks on the JMT, temps were 20-35 at night, and most nights I had to sleep with my wool layers (top and bottom) plus my wind pants and down puffy jacket if it was a 20 degree night just to be comfortable. I absolutely think the rating of the quilt I got was 10 degrees off. For a 20 degree quilt, great, but for what I paid for, I think it was quite a miss and to see how inconsistent the down fill was as easy as holding it up to the sunlight, I would have expected more from a company that gets such high accolades. I am sure mine was a 1-off miss with the fill, but either way, I think I ended up with a bag that underperforms for the temperature rating - and yes, I had a 3.2 R-value pad, and should have been warmer.
Nice and light, packs small; with a silk liner, this quilt kept me comfortable to 26 deg. F. Very important to have a good thermal pad and learn to use the straps.
Super and squish-able! This was my first quilt and it took a few nights to figure out how to keep drafts out, but I love it otherwise! I got the 10F bag and sometimes it is a little overkill, but it insulates best. Insulation = holding existing heat. If your feet, legs, whatever are ALREADY cold, it won't help them warm up. You have to provide the heat, be it sit ups or a hot water bottle.
I also love how SOFT it is! Other bags I hate how it feels against my bare skin, but this one stays soft and not slimy.
