Both the connector on my Nokia e-7 and the connector on one of my Xilinx (Digilent) FPGA dev boards have failed way to soon. Both are micro USB devices. I have yet to come across a single mini-USB device where the USB cable or connector has failed.
Micro USB sucks. Whether it's designed to be sucky or not.
