moazzamkThe firmware used in the ergodox configurator isn't up to date. If you go to the firmware's github page, I personally contributed a fix for the media key issue, added support for other media keys, and also added a workman-p layout.
To get these, you'll have to build the firmware file from source yourself (or massdrop will have to update their configurator, which is unlikely).
The github page for the official firmware, which has had my fixes accepted and are included in the project, is:
https://github.com/benblazak/ergodox-firmware
If you look at the "commits" you'll see all the relevant fixes I made in the commits by me (nacitar) just so you're aware of the issues you're encountering in this out of date firmware.

Take note you'll also have to prepare your own layout file, but you could potentially download the source used by the configurator (it lets you do that) and pull your particular configuration file out of that.
nacitarThanks for the reply necitar. It's good to know that this has been resolved (at least in the original code base). I started using the partial rewrite branch to test out multi-key macros (although i have not been able to think of any multi-key macros I would need in daily use).
Keep up the good work!
nacitarThe official firmware doesn't seem to work for me. I tried compiling it (with no changes) on Ubuntu, loaded the .hex file, and my keyboard does nothing. I don't know if maybe my avr tools are too new or what, but I tried the partial-rewrite branch and I can get that version to work ok. When I get some more time, I may try messing with it again.
skrooksshouldn't matter (as i think it's empty), but you have to flash the eep too... i never had these issues, but if they persist you might try asking in geekhack.
