A collaboration between Ferrum Forge and renowned knifemaker Les George, the Masterblaster is as striking as its name suggests. Weighing in at a hefty 5 ounces, it’s got a thick 3.7-inch wharncliffe blade made from CPM-20CV stainless steel—a powdered steel that’s highly resistant to corrosion. The choil provides a natural position for the index finger during detail work. Part of a limited run of only 200 pieces, the folder is constructed with a titanium handle and frame lock. The blue standoffs offer a subtle hint of flair. Deployment is a breeze, too. The heft of the blade, paired with the caged thrust bearings and a deep detent, allows it to fly open with a simple press on the flipper tab. An anodized pocket clip provides right-handed tip-up carry.
Note: At checkout, choose a handle design from Flying V, Slab, and Saber options. Then choose a color from Blue, Bronze, and Gray. Quantities are limited. Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. Since 2009, brothers Chris and Elliot Williamson have been producing edged tools in small batches, made to the tightest tolerances. After graduating from UC San Diego, Elliot realized his passion for knifemaking and turned a hobby into a full business by bringing on his brother (and business partner), Chris. From humble beginnings in a San Diego garage to full-scale operation out of a small manufacturing warehouse, Ferrum Forge aims to bring one of mankind’s oldest tools into the 21st century with modern crafting techniques such as 3D-CAD design, water-jetting, and laser-cutting.
