Hi Massdroppers! I am really tempted by these, but worried about a "blind buy" with no chance to listen or try them on. I guess I have concerns over both comfort (does the pad B resolve this) and reports I have heard that the sliders for the earpiece are way too loose and result in having to continually adjust?
Sound-wise, I am looking for an upgrade to my Grado 325i's - I love their details and treble, but looking for something a little less harsh and with a little more bass punch and resonance...
Any thoughts or comments would be very much appreciated!

PoisonPoisonTastyfishMy quick thoughts, these are with the B pads:
These are harsher in the treble than I remember with the Pandora Hope.Comfort is okay to me, though I never had a problem with the comfort. More clampy headphones tend to bother me more. I too would like to hear a direct comparison with Pandora to confirm my thoughts, but in the listening I've done these may bit a too fatiguing to my taste.
Regarding the sliders, it seems like they have fixed this issue. The Pandora's were too loose, these on the Sonorous seem to stay put.
If you like the 325, another option may the "Magnum" drivers by Symphones. They are smoother than the Grados and have more bass. Their DIY though, replacing the drivers in Grado or custom enclosures.

ebjredSonorous is the same headphone as Pandora Hope. They have not re-engineered it. Final Audio failed to obtain naming rights to "Pandora" in Europe, so they decided to call it Sonorous.

KamikazeI am aware. Possibly my memory is off on the Pandora, possibly it might be due to product variation, or possibly I missed the treble issue the first time. Though the thoughts still stand, on some songs / uses the treble is very harsh and not an enjoyable listen.
The sliders are definitely more stable on these however. They slid on the Pandora just by putting the headphones on. Once again, may be product variation but on my pair they are much more stable than the Pandora I owned.

rnrneverdieI found the problem. Turns out I was using the A Pads (the larger ones). While they may be more comfortable due the ears not touching the drivers, they really accentuate the treble, to sometimes a very harsh sound. Those interested in these I highly recommend the B pads if they find these to fatiguing. With the the B pads these sound similar to what I remember, and in my tastes much better headphone.

ebjredI mean if you go to a audio store and you use their "sample" headphone, it probably quite different from a new one.

New addition to the stable.

I made the decision to take advantage of the $600. price on the HiFiMan Arya Stealth, here pictured with the Meze 109 Pro. I think 2025 is going to be a really uneventful year so far as new purchases. DROP BMR1 Broken?

Can anyone help me with this? Went away for dinner and came back home to my speakers making this static sound(Video Link). Its like this both in Line In and Bluetooth mode. These speakers were super super hot but I was told that it was normal for it to be this way. Sucks that literally I am just about two months out of the 1 year warranty :/ If anyone can help me that'd be great.
