Bought this for my wife for Christmas, and it works like a dream. She has a business making memory bears and pillows from old shirts, blankets, and clothing items and this makes the process 10x faster!
Great product. Makes seam ripping a while lot easier and faster and the ripper is very easy to hold while using. Very friendly tool for aging hands and eyes.
I love this! It makes seam ripping a breeze! It took a few minutes to figure out how to hold flat but once I had that figured out it was smooth sailing.
I bought one of these at the last drop and really like it! I recently hand to rip out a quilt top to repair several sections and was avoiding the task due to all the seam ripping involved. But I had it ripped apart in about an hour with this handy tool. Very happy with it and thanks for the awesome price too! After reading some of the other’s comments I wanted to add that there is an angle that you hold it for the blade to cut fast and easy. The cutter needs to be straight into the seam, not at an angle (though the body of the cutter will be at an angle). I found it easier for me to hold it upside down, with the on/off button on the topside. I never cut into any fabric. I held the unit in my right hand and my fist against the right side of the seam and held the left side of the seam in my left hand gently pulling the seam open as the cutter sliced down through the seam. After cutting all the seams apart in a queen sized quilt, I did have to brush/blow in the blades to clean out the thread lint so it would continue to cut as well as the start of the project. I hope this description helps those who struggled a bit getting it to cut.
