I've used these on a few different boards now, from 60% to TKL, and they always make the typing experience better. If you want that classic smooth thock experience, these are just about the best linears out there. I mean, if you're into that type of spring.
Great stock switches, sound is nice and deep. Although, I personally did not like the crunchy feeling springs so I added some light lube to them and then finished them off with a some films. They're even better now. The housing around the stem is nice and tight too, so there is hardly any wobble.
Word to the wise: Don't lube the stems or housing, they're perfect as is. I was testing with some and added more and the result was terrible. They felt like I was putting my hand into putty and at times they would be very slow to recoil.
These were one of the first switches that you could use in your keyboard without the need to mod them. They have a great, deep sound and are really smooth. These days, however, you can find switches that are cheaper that are just as nice stock, but that doesn't take away from how good these are.
I was skeptical of the difference the Oil Kings would make but I was very mistaken. These things feel and sound worth their price. Solid factory lubing and deep typing sounds are top notch on these switches.
My work keyboard has these in some strategic areas, while my at home keyboard has these under every keycap. I love these for gaming and typing! And as an added bonus my wife can't hear me typing from the other room - great for late night gaming sessions
Smooth factory lubed that don't require any modding to use. If you want something that is fairly good out of the box without having to tinker, this is a good full travel linear switch to have.
If you like linear switches you will probably love these. One of two switch types that I use in my daily driver keyboards (the others are Alpacas).
At this price you really can't go wrong.
