3xpl0it2cSo someone on a forum that has both says it's probably not "worth double" As it's not 2x better, but it is absolutely the better of the 2 sound signature and power wise.
AwolmartinezWell.. It's your best bet I guess. I don't think you're going to find it anywhere cheaper (unless you wait for the end of the year)..
So it's a thing of opinion maybe. If you think it is worth buying then go for it.
CKA2424All depends who you ask ,I own both and prefer H20...,789 can sound thin at times ,H20 is true balanced .
Gustard H20 requires aftermarket discrete opamps to really shine tho (additional $120~$200) ..pick your poison
coolhandI agree with you. H20 is a much more higher-end gear. My first impression of listening to both of them is similar to your comment. Check out the internal components of H20 and AAA 789, one is a pure Class A (H20) and one (789) is Class AB, you will see they are products on two different levels of audio design.
CKA2424THX 789 and H20 have very different internal designs. Both have very nice sound with their own characteristics. H20 is a much more higher-end gear. Check out the internal components of H20 and AAA 789, one is a pure Class A (H20) with 100% honest true balanced symmetric parts and one (789) is Class AB with patented processing, you will see they are products on two separate and very different levels of audio design. Also, if you are into balanced sound processing, H20 has various XLR input/output to provide connections for your various balanced sound gears.
