The Staggered cutting board by Hauform is made of rustic woods in their natural colors with their natural end-grain design. Alternating blocks of darker jatoba and lighter ash woods create a checkerboard effect that’s pretty to view and functional to use Read More

It's pretty to look at, but a medium-tone solid color is best for being able to see what you are doing. When you create small bits of food, they can get lost against a complicated background like this. Same goes for counter tops.

Wow these are pretty. I wish they had a larger option! I would replace my current block in a second.

Pretty cool to see a local company on this site. I bought a cutting board from them about 6 months ago and it is holding up great. I oil my cutting board about once per month since I use it more than your average person. I wanted something a little different so I asked them if they could put a border on it. This board is huge since I wanted a large board plus a border. I think the board turned out great and is holding up very well.

liftomaniaTwo years ago, I bought an oak cutting board on Ebay, 2in deep, 18 in wide, 30 in long, with no channel. Have been treating it monthly with mineral oil, and use it on an almost daily basis. Still looks like new. Careful not to use a serrated knife, as it acts like a saw. I am wondering if this one would hold up as well, considering the woods used. It is a great looking piece.

The jatoba's janka hardness is through the roof at 2600. May dull your knives faster than say a maple board.
