The latest from Idea23 (also known as busgamer7394 on Reddit)—the same designer who brought us the Bubble Tea artisan keycaps—these Marbled Resin caps feature a wispy two-toned look to accentuate your favorite keyboard. Designed specifically for Topre keyboards, each keycap is hand-poured in a homemade mold and made from sturdy resin Read More
I really liked the ice one and the blue starry one, but the black one just literally sucks, it looks like a grey see-through cap, there's literally nothing artisian about it, I completely left it off my board and just threw it in a bag, maybe one day if I get a backlit board it'll be cool but on a normal Topre board it's just bad.
Tldr; black on was awful, deep blue one was alright, the ice ones look great.
anyone else unimpressed with these? The mount that fits onto the key is pretty loose on all of them, so much so that if you let off a key too quickly it can literally fling the cap off. Designs are gorgeous yes, but the key is so loose it's functionally useless.
Sorry about the lack of updates, there is going to be a small delay. Just want you guys to know that the lack of updates are from me, I had planned on getting these to massdrop last week but I ended up sick for a week instead. I finished casting the last of the caps monday, tuesday I cut all the extra bits of resin from casting off, yesterday I cleaned up the bottom of 1/2 the caps. All that's left is to finish the other half and then clean them. These will arrive at massdrop either monday/tuesday next week. As you can see from my comment below I underestimated the time it would take me to finish the 1000+ caps from this drop and the mx one, were both supposed to ship today.
DrakeJSorry about the lack of updates. +90% of the caps will get to massdrop Wednesday(9-27) and the rest Thursday(9-28) . I haven't been feeling well and it took me longer to finish them up that I had planned for. At most it shouldn't delay things more than a day or two.
