Pens are a joke for this price. I had been wondering about them and found one in the back of a stationary store that had given up on the fountain pen game, so the lady gave me a deal on the remainder of their j. Herbin cartridges. If you're new to fountain pens and this seems a good deal, it is categorically not. Please don't buy them.

I would love to see this as an ink drop. I have used J. Herbin inks, just lovely. If this was a collection of their inks in 10 ml size it would be delightful. The featured pens however, ummm, no.

JorgitoThey look like the 10ml bottles. The 30ml bottles look more like square shaped.

I have this set (purchased elsewhere), I do not recommend it. As others have indicated, the acrylic easily cracks, even with very careful handling and use. Both of my barrels cracked at the section threads. Note that I did not overthread, nor applied any pressure. Perhaps, the acrylic is also subject to temperature changes. Nib is sub-par, at best. Poor quality product... awesome inks!

Can't say much for the pens, however the ink (I've tried perle noire) goes great with Pilot pens.

Compared to other budget fountain pens I have, I feel these are quite poor quality. Also for a medium they write fairly fine and the ink flow is not that great. I'll probably stick to mu Jinhao's for budget pens.

Satisfied with my purchase. Two pens allows you to try two different inks. You get the one with the drop, then go online and find a seller that has samples and buy a bunch of those to try out. Once you find an ink you like, and if you eventually do get into fountain pens, there are a whole slew of styles and varieties of pens and nibs out there. I've discovered a new, relatively inexpensive hobby. Now I am learning how to write in cursive all over again. Good for the brain, they say. Write a letter to your mom, she'll appreciate it.

bought these a while back. They are poor quality. The plastic material used is prone to cracking when the pen is unscrewed, and then pen then becomes useless.

FYI: it’s a medium nib, and very smooth—at least the two I got are. Look—this isn’t a Pelikan 1000, but it is a rather decent pen, and quite a bargain at the price, two pens for $30, plus the 10 ml ink bottle. I’m glad I got this because they’ve been great for testing my inks before I try them out in one of my more expensive pens. It’s not an expensive pen, it won’t last you forever, but don’t complain— it’s not a bad deal, and it’s also good for testing inks, or testing yourself to see if you might like writing with a fountain pen. (Just don’t press too hard, with these or any other fountain pen. 😀 .
