When the american founder of Becker Knife and Tool, Ethan Becker, sought out to create the new KA-BAR knife designs, he wanted to produce a series of knives for serious outdoorsmen and enthusiasts. His work is a favorite among community members for its precise designs, attention to detail, and durability. For a smaller, lighter EDC or camping knife, the BK16 Short Becker Drop Point is a strong contender. It’s ideal as a utility camping knife and a lighter alternative to the BK2/22. When paired with a larger knife, it’s the perfect addition to a survivalist’s camping pack or as a general EDC option.
Note: This drop is limited to 65 units.
This knife has a shorter blade measuring in at 4.37” and made from high-carbon 1095 Cro-Van steel. The upper edge has a rigid thumb serration for control during pressure cutting. A flat grinding of the knife maintains strong edge retention, and the blade is easy to sharpen anywhere. The Zytel handle is sturdy and crafted for comfort during pressure cutting, and the knife itself is well suited to tasks that require control and durability and as a bush knife.
