An artifact from back in the day when the hobby was a little less popular, and when KBDFans was still more in the budget space. This is a great case and I LOVE the cyan color. Until I got a low profile keyboard for Christmas last year, this had a permanent spot in my travel loadout. While it doesn't get the kind of use that it once did, it's still in my work rotation.
I genuinely think this is one of the best modding platforms, OOTB not amazing, but with some simple work on adding some weight it makes an amazing platform
This is a case like the Tofu we all know and love, but provide the extra oomf that comes with the bevel that surrounds the case. Pairs spectacularly well with DSA keycaps, where the edges of the caps seem to transition effortlessly into the beveled edges of the 5 Degree.
Word of warning that this does have interference issues with hotswap 60% PCBs.
As with all boards that are mounted directly on conductive case, I get some short circuit with the dz60 board…
As usual succeed to fix it with some band aid isolant.
May include some isolant in the package to help newbie’s
With a litte modification this case sounds great, and looks pretty good for the price. I used polyfil an painter's tape on the bottom of the case to eliminate ping, and o-rings on the posts to soften the typing feel.
It's fun and affordable like a lot of the stuff from KBDfans. When this thing is on sale it's a no-brainer if you're looking to build a decent 60 percent board on a budget.
