Great way to have rice cooked properly. 1st. When it arrived I washed it and then tried it on the electric stove and it worked OK. 2nd time was on my single burner camping stove ( Pocket Rocket ) and it worked like a champ. The base being smaller/narrower then a standard cooking pot needs a more compact flame to really make the cooker shine. When the steam starts you can adjust the flame really low to continue cooking helping to save fuel.
Love mine; I use it to steam my rice, meat and veggies. Then poor a sauce over the top. Easy as and tasty as. I just need to fine tune my alcohol burner to make it better. The gas stove gets a little much over the time of cooking
Pretty amazing for what it does. Ultralight purists will probably find this too heavy as they just need something to boil water to rehydrate the dehydrated food packs. However, if you enjoy cooking and like to experiment by mixing different things like rice and jerky, you won't find a more versatile cook pot at this weight anywhere.

It seems to work as intended.
Nothing wrong with it.
But I should have asked myself "How often do I find myself cooking rice?" before buying it.
I probably avoided the question because it looked too "neat" to risk talking myself out of getting it. :-)
I've only used it a couple times so far but... someday.
