Weighing in at nearly 7 ounces, the Kershaw Starter is built like an ox. It features a 3.5-inch clip-point blade made from 4Cr14 stainless steel with a blackwash finish, which helps prevent scratching even after hard usage. To deploy the blade, press on the flipper tab and it springs into place with Kershaw’s signature SpeedSafe opening system. The handle is made from stainless steel with a matching blackwash finish and features ribbed grooves for added grip. Looking at its beastly, bone-like aesthetic is like looking into the rib cage of a charcoal black skeleton. This beefy folder is also equipped with a pocket clip for right-handed tip-down carry.
