BlueCrownedSorry to hear that! As you indicated, I was unable to find a site that was still selling the transparent case.
However, when I wrote the above post, I'd noticed that aluminum cases were still being offered in a group buy (since that was the first link yielded by my google image search). Originally, I wrote that I might buy other parts to build a gherkin, but deleted that sentence because I didn't want to lard the post with too many links.

Le_BroOf all the reasons to object to 60-65% layouts, the lack of F-row is one I'll never understand. Arrows are useful. Depending on what you use your keyboard for, numpads are useful. Delete keys are useful. The F row is rarely useful and fn+number row is a perfectly adequate substitute.
StrangeloveEsqI need not only F-row, but also SysRq, Scroll Lock and Break. Also I'm using three different locales with set of so called "dead keys". Never understand those 60%. TKL suits me well, but no less.
BlueCrownedOh my god. You've ruined my Vortex Core. It looks so big and clunky now.
I might try one of those gherkin things if the key rows were offset, but that would make the width a key or so wider.
Or do you get used to the grid layout quickly?
