Can someone comment on those headphones vs. Sony MDR-V6? The price is very similar. I have Sony headphones and they offer a very good quality sound but their cups suck. Need to spend money on a new pair of cups every year or so.

andyoBuy the Beyerdynamic velour replacement ear cups for them. Google it. I love mine. So much more comfortable and less sweaty too.

caffeineheadI think that's what I replaced with on my mdr7506. It changed the signature more than I would like.

andyoI think you'd like the Koss Pro4S. I had a MDR-V6 years ago, and although it was great, it was uncomfortable. the Pro4S is a much more modern design.

dwane5Exactly. Comfort was improved, but the sound was totally jacked up. I didn't last 2 minutes when I tried them (The BD pads). Yes, if you wear these regularly and you have oily skin/hair the factory pads will wear out regularly, but they are comfortable and they are relatively cheap and easy to replace.
