This may sound weird, but are the corners made in a way that the rivets can be opened to roll the tray up like a mat (e.g., for transport), or are the corners permanently riveted?

Thank you for the reply! If it were not permanently riveted, I would have bought it, but like this I am glad I didnt buy it

namelessHey thanks for the question - Yes the rivets are permanent. I will say - I travel with mine and it's not an issue in my experiences. The cloths pack in around it and it stays true to shape. Now, if you're really cramming in a bunch of shoes and stuff where it would get bent up, that might be an issue. I like traveling with it because it keeps my 'pocket dump' routine in hotels, etc. Just a way to keep some normalcy when away from home. Hope that's helpful. Thanks for checking it out.

Here is mine. It ended up being a tad bigger than I thought, but that just made it more useful in my mind. Great leather, very faint and pleasant smell, great strong rivets that look way nicer than other trays with snap buttons.

TOMBOThanks, that is a Montblanc wallet (I forget which model but I can track it back if needed). Understandably I take care of it and am careful with it, but I have had it since I turned 40 (that was over 9 years ago), and it's still gorgeous and solid. I guess they are expensive (around $300 or more, now) but the adage is true in this case, you get what you pay for, and the quality is real!

Could you provide information on what kind of leather these are made of? Also, I am not sure whether the listed dimensions of tray are usable or unfolded size. Please clarify. Thanks!

A full leather valet tray for $35 is a no brainer considering the vast amount of horrid and cheaply made valet trays out there in "PU Leather" for around the same price; every gentleman needs one.

Got mine yesterday. Great rustic looking tray. Size is generous for magazines or 4-5 remotes, cell phones, etc. Happy with the purchase.
