I've found some mixed information. Are Gateron clears analagous to Cherry clears? As in, stiffer, tactile, non clicky browns?

erickong80g! Nah, I have a set of Cherry clears on my Infinity Ergodox. The actuation force is more like 55g or 60g.

erickongTo actuate a Cherry clear all you need to do is breath on them, very similar (imo) to the Romer-G switch.

BlottoCherry clears are definitely lighter than some other switches out there, but they are heavier than the Cherry browns.
Personally, I did not think I would notice much of a difference between the browns and the clears. However, I got a surprise when I changed from browns to clears. All of those keys on the keyboard, all next to each other, and all with the clears, suddenly presented a noticeable resistance to my hands. It was like my hands no longer sank into the keys accidentally, or something. It took me a couple of weeks to forget about it. I like the clears, though.

rusty340Cherry Clears are nothing like Gateron Clears. Although both are great switches, they are at the opposite ends of the spectrum. The Gateron Clears have a 35g actuation, while Cherry Clears are 65g. However, if you are interested in trying the Gateron Clears, I would definitely test it out at this price range. It's a really cool experience (albeit incredibly hard to get used to). They're stupid light.
