I tried one of these out from Amazon and was thoroughly impressed. For the price it had a great build quality and typing feel. However, as noted in a previous comment I found the right shift key to be a deal breaker since I primarily use my right thumb for the space bar. If you use your left thumb, then I’d say this is an excellent inexpensive intro to the 40% world. If you wanna upgraded version, then I’d recommend the vortex core!

Interesting. What are the steps to flash the firmware to the board? Just out of curiosity.

Hi, sorry if i bring out old discussion. just get myself this keyboard as i love the look and portability, however i always use right time for space and this shit on right space bar really killing me. i tried to download the firmware, however i never successful updating it and it always fail. am using windows 10, already tried to run it on windows 7/8 compability version but still not working. any advise here ? thank you.

not sure how good this keyboard will be since i use my right thumb to press the spacebar and that is where the right shift button is located.. this layout looks just plain terrible.

$54 on Amazon. You save $8. I thought this site was supposed to be about DEALS or shit that's hard to come by?!
No way to program keys. Right shift and space being locked in where they are make this a complete non-starter for me.

haliphaxI have the original version that actually has a split space rather than space and right shift.
I use a software called autohotkey when I am gaming. The script changes my ESC keypress to TAB.

Did anyone else notice that the lowest price is the same price that you can buy one from amazon. It's a nice board, just don't see why we need a drop to get prices that are already available.

chexxorO BOY! CHERRY SWITCHES!?!?!!? NEVER SEEN THEM LOLOLOL jk man, but gateron / cherry are pretty much identical, except you pay more for cherry because of brand name. Both are boring IMO, and I won't buy a board with soldered cherry / gateron in them. With so many options out there, its like going to the ice cream shop and buying vanilla. If you like that, cool, but I like something more interesting personally.

i own and do like it. i got mine on amazon where its currently for sale for about the same price. i like my planck a lot more, but the magicforce is just sooo light, its much nicer for traveling.
the right shift key instead of the space bar is annoying, so you do need a way to reprogram it in software. I use autohotkey for windows and karabiner for macos.
the other big annoyance is the lack of a dedicated ' key since that comes up all the time while typing. but i do like having page up and page down.
not a fan of the keycaps. much happier after i replaced those.

That's fantastic. I thought about changing the switches from GATERON to Cherry MX, but I don't know if I can even make the switch between the switches, and I don't know which version of the Cherry MX to buy. I have the Clear at home, but I thought about the Silver for work.

On vacation now. Can share photo when I get home. But these were the keycaps.
The caps i used for the space bar were a bit short but I could live with it.
