FIX FOUND:
After less than a year, my chair started making a creaking sound when I leaned back. After about a month of this, the tilt back mechanism stopped locking and the back was in free motion. Essentially, the chair seemed to be broken.
The fix (so far, so good):
There is bolt covered with a black plastic cap on the opposite side of the tilt mechanism handle. Using a wrench, I tightened it. Not super tight, just snugged it up.
Day 1: IT WORKED! I'm sitting in the chair typing this. The tilt mechanism is working.
FYI: The hight adjustment strut can be replaces if need be. It's a pain to remove it but it is replaceable.

What size is the height adjustment strut? Mine is losing pressure, and I slowly sink. I need to replace this part.

my chair has been squeaking in multiple areas like crazy. any tips for reducing this?

bsakaguchiHaving the same issue. Squeaking like mad even after tightening bolts and lubricating.

CroswellI was actually just able to resolve my squeaking. I used some teflon bike chain lubricant on the exposed metal part on the bottom where the chair hinges back and forth and it helped a lot.

old style chair, for 140 from amazon, you can get a bucket seat that your could lay back and sleep.
300 lb capacity. what happened to good deals on drop?

I was seriously ready to buy the New Aeron, fully loaded....they are drawing up a quote for me tomorrow
Seeing this, it definitely makes me question it at the price they're gonna try to charge....but there are always knockoffs, and I do try to stay away from them when I can. Also, If this isn't the B size, it's worthless to me
Anyway, any thoughts? I'm gonna go try the Steelcase Leap and Gesture tomorrow. I used a Gesture at work (or a damn good clone?) And it didn't have enough lumbar support for me though
Also, is this fairly catproof? From what the sales rep told me, I can have it fixed 2-3 times for free, and the third time would just be like $50 (which is cool with me if I ruined it that many times)

SeelenWhere are you trying these chairs? I would like to look around (do not want to drop a grand on a chair I can only hope I will like) but I can't find anywhere to look and test.

DojooThis chair may have been cheaper at the time of posting, but it's more expensive now and clearly not the same chair.
All of the adjustments are different, pieces are different sizes, and even the features are different like the seat material.
While this chair is definitely not unique in design, this Amazon posting is not a rebrand.
