If I were to buy this, how do I connect the balanced to a computer? Is it just a RCA to XLR cable to get the balanced output?

To my knowledge, you need to connect a DAC via the optical out for the consoles. I don't think they support streaming audio from USB.

Is anyone having problem discorving the SDAC on Windows? No mattter what usb port i try to connect it to, the OS doesn't seem to notice that my DAC is connected. I even tried to connect to a different computer runing Windows, got same result. I got this DAC for 8 month, and it was working fine just a month ago.

I'm still pretty new to this hobby but I use the Carbon X + SDAC on a desk and run speakers through the SE out. I'm not sure if the DAC is being used for my speakers because my speakers are very poor for me to A/B test it against my motherboard soundcard... Hope this helped!
