Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. As for the sound, it struggles to reproduce details that higher-end headphones like the Fostex TH-X00 pump out with ease, but that's to be expected at the price comparison. Overall it's just a really nice balanced sound. I was surprised that at 62 Ohms, it makes my Vali 2 amp work pretty hard and I have to actually use the high gain setting.
These headphones actually remind me of my Sony MDR-MA900 in character and comfort, the difference being the MA900s have way bigger drivers and a more minimalistic frame. I would say try to snag a pair of those if you listen to genres that benefit from giant soundstages, but this K7XX is a bit more intimate and tighter in its soundstage and instrument placement. All in all, this was still a good buy!
