How long after shipment do these generally take to arrive in the US? I went ahead and ordered a Schiit Vali 1 from Amazon, as they have been phased out for the Vali 2 with a price increase. I only have until March 23 on the amplifier to return it if I am not happy with the combo. I would like to get the combo tested before my return window expires.
SpudboyHe's wrong about break-in. I noticed a lot of break-in on my k712s, but little on my fostex or hifiman cans.
In reality it all depends on the headphone, because all drivers are different. But any break in should be very small affect
I've heard of "breaking in a rifle" but even that is in my opinion unnecessary. But I've never heard of breaking in a headphone and for me it makes no sense. I mean what is going to change during that "break in process"? I am musician for 8 years now and I haven't breaked in anything, so I'll stick with Ryuzakiii.
MoJo71When speakers are new they are very tight. You have the cone of the speaker and then around the edges you have a rubberized foam. When the speaker is "burnt in" this ruberized foam lossens up and allows the cone to have better movement. Burn in occurs regardless to whether or not you actualy put time aside to do it or just use them. The difference is somtimes sublte to some times very dramatic depending on how the speaker was made and what materials were used. When i first got my audio technica im70 in ear headphones they were pretty bright and the bass was lacking and a little mudy. I then put them on and had it play various songs for 10 hours straight. Now the treble is tame but still has some sparkle and the bass is now full bodied and tight.
MoJo71You will have to wait until you can see what shipper they are using. They might use DHL if you are in Europe. I live in Canada and the might use UPS.
XxMRGAMERZxXWhen I got my didgeridoo from Australian it was shipped from Australian to china to Canada through DHL so you never know. I know that in Canada we will have to worry about Canada post so its all good.
