how do these stack up against the sennheiser 6XX? Should I buy these now or wait for the 6XX to drop again?

BoiIfYouDontI won't get into the music highlights of each headphones, because that is beyond my audio-ability. But I will say I have done extensive research on the K7xx versus the Sennheiser HD650/H6xx over the past few weeks in regards to gaming. The K7xx have a much wider soundstage, better positional audio, and are way better gaming headphones. Which was surprising to find out. I've only ever bought Sennheiser headphones and really enjoy their products, but it seems like they don't have a great audiophile gaming headphone right now.

BoiIfYouDont Sennheiser HD6XX sound amazing. I am using a Saffire 6 dac and magni-2 amp. Before I was using Sennheiser HD 598 with just the dac, I am also only listening to flac files now.The best way I can describe the combination of all those elements is that my music went from feeling like I was watching a movie in SD to it being in 4k.I don't know how they will stack up against the AKG K7XX but the fidelity on HD6XX is worth more than 200$ The plastic of the HD6XX does feel cheap but they are still a solid construction.

eraseAKG 7xx (this includes K701, K702, Q701, K7xx and K712 pro) are better headphones than Sennheiser 6xx in many respects, even in comfort. If you do not believe, I suggest you try them out.

ZMWTThanx for the info, I cant comment on any AKG headphones, i just know that for 200$ I am very happy with the HD6XX.They make me not care what other headphones have to offer moving forward, I will rather spend my money on a different aspect of my life.
