I would like to know whether or not I would need to purchase seperate cable to connect this to my amp(THX 789 Linear balanced amp) If so can someone please link me some cables.
A USB cable is included to connect to your PC/Laptop/source device. You will also need a stereo RCA interconnect cable, you can get them from anywhere, Monoprice makes good cheap options. Connect the red(R)/white(L) output on the DAC to the corresponding red(R)/white(L) input on your THX.

Only if the DAC in your existing system sounds worse than the Grace DAC.

Yes.
Can this DAC be paired with a regular amplifier to run a pair of bookshelf speakers or is it only designed for headphone amps?

Yes, it will work if you have volume control either on the speakers or in the USB source.

Hi, I recently bought a pair of Philips SHP 9500 and I wanted to buy DAC for my pc because they sound pretty loud in my pc but I can hear some hissing or sound on my playback. For what I understood you simply connect this to your pc and it's ready, but then where do I connect my headphones? Behind the DAC or on my PC jack?

If you go with an external standalone DAC, you still also need a headphone amplifier. You might be better off starting with a DAC/amp combo unit, or something like the Schiit Modi+ and Magni 3 stack.
