AKM AK4452. I would say most people would not be able to hear a difference between this DAC chip and the PCM5102A used in the ODAC rev.B since the limiting factor is not the DAC, it's the USB chip in both the ODAC and this Standard DAC.

guisess93I would say the AK4490 is a better DAC than the AK4452, if purely looking at the datasheets. Having said that, I am not familiar with the Shanling, so I couldn't say how well the AK4490 was implemented in it. They, along with the PCM5102A, are all good chips though and I personally wouldn't knock points off for any company using those chips.
