When will massdrop ship out my order from 11th February? On the transaction page, "Estimated Ship Date" is on 15th February. So what's up? @Will :(

adrx1If that's the case, I guess we have to wait another 1 or 2 weeks until the cables arrive (if they ordered the cable from China). Because all freight companies in China are on holiday from 7th February - 22nd February and will back in business on 23rd. FeelsBadMan

adrx1Interesting. I was in contact with support multiple times as well but was told they didn't know what was causing the delay. I ended up getting a refund on my order.

mrbinaryI discovered how to get an updated shipping estimate. If you view the transaction and click on "contact support", set the reason for contacting to be "help with my order" and set the "Issue with order" to be "Where's my order" then in addition to giving you a box to send a message.. it gives an updated shipping estimate. In my case my transaction on Feb 12th gave an estimated ship date of Feb 14th but this updated estimate said: "Your Order Status: Group Buy Successful. The estimated ship date is 2/23/2018 PT".
I don't know if that will turn out to be any more accurate than the first estimate since it doesn't explain the cause of the delay. I went ahead and filled out the message to tell them this information should also be placed in the transaction information, and ideally people should be updated with an email. Perhaps if enough others make the same suggestion they'll be better about updating us.

mrbinaryAdded info. I wish they'd told me this a week ago, but in response to my contacting support they just emailed that:
" I can see that there has been a hiccup in our ordering of the cords for this drop. That being the case, the cords on this drop are on the way to the warehouse now and should be arriving there early next week. This means that your order should ship mid to end of the coming week. That said, there are a few option you can take in this case: 1) Wait for their cable. 2) Get their order shipped without the cable 3) Cancel and get a full refund"

mrbinaryThey told me I can get the speakers shipped without the cable , but if you choose that option they won't send the cable separately later nor refund the cost of the cable. I responded they should send the speakers without the cable, though I hadn't gotten confirmation back. They warned me " it can sometimes take our warehouse 1 to 3 business days to prepare a shipment," so its unclear if they'll get here much sooner than they would just waiting on the cable if the cables showed up there "early next week", but I decided to just go for that and eat the few $ cost of getting a cable.

mrbinaryI also did get confirmation they told the warehouse to ship mine without the cable, with a 1-3 day processing time to get it out the door. Its unfortunate that more companies don't realize that better customer service can be more cost effective. If they updated the estimated ship date and provided a reason for the delay then they'd likely save money on customer service since people won't bother contacting them to ask. Its likely it saves them money if they get to keep the cables and use them for other orders, unless their processes aren't efficient to handle order changes and the human processing time cost outweighs that.

mrbinaryAwesome, I'm in the same boat with you guys waiting on these to ship and I don't need the cables either. Just sent support an email and hoping they'll ship faster.

mrbinaryFYI, I got an email sent a couple of hours ago saying mine have shipped (without the cable I assume), confirmed by a Fedex ground tracking number, so presumably yours should also be shipping soon.
