So awesome until TSA took it
The knife was a solid performer for a long time. Until I forgot it was in my bag and a very rude TSA agent did not tell me I was allowed to have it mailed. Hopefully this will be available again!

Not bad. The knife looks great. I upgraded to the quince handle. Very pretty and very slippery. I will not carry this as I would have to ruin the handle to make it useable. The action is ok. A bit stiff but snaps out with a light flick.
So, I paid extra extra for the fancy handle. Actually wanted the Damascus too but did not like the look with the thumb stud. Not sure if it is worth it when I compare to the very nice Urban Trapper recently received from Massdrop for $50 less.

The blade is great, beautiful pattern on the damascus steel and it comes sharper than most knives I've ordered. The wood handle is attractive and feels good in my hand. My one complaint is that the thumbstud on my model is very close to the handle and the base of the blade, which makes opening it somewhat of a pain even after oiling the action due to the poor leverage.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the knife, but the quality of hardware is not really up to required standards. The pivot screws are round in a round hole, which makes it incredibly difficult to take apart to clean, let alone adjust opening strength. I had to grind a slot into the back of the pivot to get a flat head screw driver to brace against. The washers are made of some unknown, black material that doesn't give a very good friction coefficient for nice opening. Even lubed, it's quite grabby and hard to open. Certainly doesn't flick open nicely like my benchmades or kershaws in similar price ranges. On the plus side, the handle has a great, comfortable shape and the VG-10 blade came shaving sharp from the factory and the damascus pattern is very pretty.

Very nice and well put together. Great materials and looks, too. However, some edges were a bit sharp, notably on the liners.

Great knife with a smooth action. It is a fairly long knife.

Have several Mcusta folders and all are excellent, well engineered and manufactured. This one is no exception- very well done. Had a previous, similar Mcusta( Al Mar Shrike), very well done, discontinued and I lost It. Very well done knives,
