"The tuning Venus is plain, if on the bright side. Other than your sensitivities in the upper treble, there really isn’t anything to point out about the sound. It’s a very “blank slate” type of sound. Bass is flat. Midrange is clinical. The treble has a bit of spice in certain areas but is otherwise unremarkable. The defining characteristic of its tuning is that it doesn’t have one."

EniGmA1987Flat, uncharacteristic tuning isn't a bad thing though. It means you can EQ to get whatever tuning style you want

EniGmA1987actually, while you can adjust to some degree, you can't exceed the capabilities of the headphone - IE these never gonna be a basshead item

most reviews I've seen put this as a competitor to the Hifiman XS, pretty tempted but probably just going to wait for Sundara stealth edition

quicklytoo4These sound amazing personally, I did put on some mod house xenon pads as I found the stock pads too shallow for my ears. These added a decent amount of bass I found and really helped with the highs. A con though is mine came somewhat bent. The arms that hold each driver were not symmetrical like they should be which had me sitting at my desk wrapping each arm and then trying to get them symmetrical by bending them. Took a bit but they’re fine now. Not something I should have to do with a $600 product. Luckily though aftermarket headbands seem to fit these nicely so anything that can hold a 100mm driver these slot in fine I found which can help knock some weight off if the weight of these is to much.
