Two of the most important elements on Earth, copper and aluminum have helped shape our world in many ways. But while they may have had a huge impact on society, they’ve never been available on your keyboard—until now Read More
So.
I got a surprise in the mail today.
These are something NZ is working on.
New metals. New pigments. And pretty damn cool. So cool they won't even tell me what they are made out of which is pretty awesome because it's driving me crazy. And they smell delicious. Like yummy eat them kind of delicious. :D Enjoy.
Just got my copper cap. A couple things... First, the sides are really soft. When i squeeze them with any amount of pressure (not a lot), they bend inward and stay that way. Almost like they are made of putty. Is that expected?? Second, putting it on to my keyboard, it's super loose on the stem. It takes no pressure to put it on the stem and equally no pressure to take it off. Seems like the mount hole is too big?
Forgot to mention.
I checked my caps last week as I remembered this post.
They were super hard. Didn't budge.
So it might have been as you said.
They needed time to cure.
At least you know they were freshly made for you. ;)
Just got my caps in.
Beautiful.
The pictures don't do them justice.
They feel beautiful and smell wonderful. :D
I'll probably use them to get that patina going then put them on my Chocolatier board.
ViraI am killing it.
If the business fails, I will find something else.
For now though, I am on fire.
And these caps are killer, so glad I got in with them early on.
5 caps and counting. :D
PS unblock your posts. If you want to. Hint hint. ;)
I'm always tempted by these artisan caps drops... then I think about my Pop-can forge and how I could totally make the same thing for the cost of a 24pack in my back yard while setting stuff on fire. Think I'll pass on this one.
