Oru Bay ST Foldable Kayak Bundle

I took mine out in a harbor with about 30+mph wind and a 1 foot chop. I'm on the heavier side, so I sit kinda low in the water. Still, found myself having a good time - didn't get too swamped even with the chop. It was pretty susceptible to the wind, so I did have to keep correcting with the paddle to stay on track. There was a moment where the going with the wind and current I got turned nearly sideways by the wind and almost flipped, but was able to correct it fairly easily. I think individual mileage varies here. I would recommend getting solid with emergency water rescue (getting back in the boat after capsizing in deep water) before hitting the Bay. Because it's so light, it sits high in the water without a paddler, which makes it a little more difficult to climb back in. Plus, especially if you're on the larger side, the cockpit can be a snug fit, making it difficult to wedge in the hips and legs without beaching the boat on land. And all said - I find the boat responds well and tracks well. I'm certainly planning on getting it out into more moderate conditions with a spray skirt.

Any chance of this coming back any time soon?

How would you guys feel about using this in the SF Bay Area waters?(: do you think that this could hold up to some more rough conditions?
